Berkey Shower Filter Giveaway
Since it’s almost Christmas I have a present for you! The Berkey Shower Filter Giveaway! Or, if you win it, you could also give it as a present to someone if you want! I was given this product for review, but all my opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links, which if you buy something helps support this blog, but won’t cost you any extra.
Berkey shower filter:
The Berkey shower filter (valued at $81) can remove 95% of chlorine from water as well as the pollutants that can cause skin problems. Their products are helping many people suffering from chlorine sensitivity.
Berkey shower filter is easy to install and is great for those who want the benefits of showering in filtered water. Simply screw this in between the shower pipe coming from your wall and your existing shower head, and you’re good to go! I can totally vouch that the Berkey shower filter was easy to install.
The Berkey Shower Filter will typically last 25,000 gallons or one year, whichever comes first. Berkey Shower Filter contains new and improved shower filtration media, which is most effective in reducing free chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, scale and iron oxide (rust water). Showering in chlorinated water may also cause pre-existing conditions such as asthma and eczema, to become exacerbated. In addition to the benefits of filtering water, there are cosmetic benefits. Symptoms of chlorine exposure are dry and/or flaking skin, dry brittle hair and red irritated eyes. Filtering your shower water reduces these symptoms.
I found that my hair was really soft after we installed this shower filter. And, I found that my shower was easier to keep clean. That was something I didn’t expect to find!
So I’m excited to share this cool shower head with you! Want to read more about the Shower filter, click over here.
Organizing/cleaning Bonus:
I also have a little bonus tip for you. You know those little broken bits of soap that you get left with at the end of the bar of soap? Take those and toss them in a little muslin cloth bag and hang them the bag in your shower. The bag holds the little bits of soap together so you don’t waste them. And, you can suds up the soap while it’s in the bag, and use it right there.
The Berkey Shower Filter Giveaway:
Just follow the instructions in the giveaway. The giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada, and to anyone over 18 years of age. The giveaway is open until Wednesday, December 20th, 2018. Good Luck! Winner will be chosen randomly and announced in this post. We will email the winner, and if the winner does not respond in 48 hours, a new winner will be chosen. The prize will be mailed from the manufacturer to the winner directly, and Life Currents is not responsible for lost mail.

Favorite traditions….probably baking cookies, especially my “famous” spice cookies that everyone loves cause it’s not sugar cookies like most people make….and love our little tradition to do a present on xmas eve and stockings. My hubby didn’t understand my thing with stockings when we first got together but now he loves it just as much as I do and looks forward to them. One year, just to see, I hid the stockings and he looked all around, where is my stocking? I knew I had won him over….especially seeing the sad look when I said I didn’t bother to do them since he didn’t “get” the point of stockings….and the delight when I handed him his…. thanks for the chance to win this shower filter. I could really use this for our new home.

We have a lot of holiday traditions that I love. One of my favorites is that we play fun, silly family/party games that make us laugh a lot! (Even more than we laugh already even without games. haha) Sometimes they are games that I buy and sometimes they are ones I found online or made up myself to match the theme of which ever holiday it is we are celebrating. I love how the holidays bring out the “playful child” in all of us

I already shared one of our favorite holiday traditions, but the entry asked for more, so here are some more of them:
1. We also celebrate my birthday on Christmas because I was born on Dec. 25th and this year is extra special because it’s my 50th!
2. Every year, either the day after Thanksgiving or the 1st weekend after Thanksgiving, we have a small decorating party and when our 5 kids were growing up, I’d play Christmas carols (especially whatever kind the kids liked even if that meant Alvin & The Chipmunks carols haha) and set out xmas goodies and hot cocoa and eggnog & the kids would decorate the whole tree! Sometimes they invited friends over too & they loved it and I loved it too because they did and because I didn’t have to do all that work. haha. NOW our 5 kids are adults on their own 22-30 and we have 1 grandson, but whoever is able to, STILL comes over to do our tree decorating party. This year we had over our 2 oldest daughters and our grandson. We always leave our tree up until Jan 1st then it comes down.
3. We always have a nice Christmas family feast but we do not have the same things each year (like we do on Thanksgiving). at Christmas I like to prepare something unique and special and that seems gourmet or foodie like and I also like to make at least some of the foods or desserts LOOK christmassy too, I think the presentation is fun to make it look themed. We have a different special dessert each year too. I stopped making a variety of cookies and candies well over a decade ago and instead make just one special xmas dessert. Our adult kids prefer that because we have a treat without being tempted by an overload of unhealthy sugary fattening treats before and after xmas too. Plus the dessert serves well as a birthday dessert for me too.
4. We celebrate Xmas all month long by doing as many Christmassy activities, outings, events etc as we can, usually on the weekends. (we do that with Halloween all of Oct each year too).My favorite one that we did this year was going to the Fox Theatre in Detroit to See the Broadway musical of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
5. We ALWAYS give toys to toys for tots and put little surprise gift bags by each of our neighbors doors (we dont even know them but that makes it even more fun) of each other apt in our building.. We do as many random acts of kindness and gift as many needy strangers (sometimes animals too) that we can. This year we were able to donate blankets for veterans also.
6. Finally, We always get Santa Paws gifts for our animal babies, our cat and our cockatiel bird and we decorate our bird’s cage all xmassy for him and we always get santa paws gifts for our granddoggies and grandkitties and for our parents pets too.

My favorite tradition is going to grandma’s house and trying to get “Christmas Eve Gift” first. She would chuckle and laugh. This year is bittersweet, my children all do the same with her and I’m glad they are getting have the experience along with my granddaughter’s first and only Christmas with her, that she will remember.
Buddy Garrett says
After Thanksgiving we select and cut down a tree for decorating. We watch It’s A Wonderful Life. The night before Christmas we bake brownies and have hot chocolate while we wrap any last minute presents. We visit live Nativity scenes. We have Christmas dinner with family. We visit other family members and friends.
