Thanks to the folks at Reduce for sending me this awesome Growler. We absolutely love it!
They gave me this growler to review, but my opinions are all my own.
It’s made for beer, but it would totally work for anything from lemonade or soda to coffee or soup. That’s because it keeps things cold for up to 48 hours or hot for up to 12 hours.
The first time we used it we had some of our friends over for happy hour, or as they called it “A Night Without Kids”. Everyone needs a night like that every once in a while. So, naturally, we tried it with beer that first time! We filled it from our kegerator, but most breweries, tap houses, and even some bars will fill a growler for you. The beer stayed carbonated, and it didn’t get any “off” or tinny flavors from being in this growler. In the past we’ve used a large glass jug as a growler, but I can say that, that old glass jug is a thing of the past now that we have this growler.
So, at our happy hour we filled the growler and placed it in the center of the table. Everyone could sit and chat, and no one had to get up to do refills. It was perfect. And, we will definitely be using it for this kind of party again.
It’s perfect for a picnic, BBQ, happy hour, family get together, any time of party. You can take your cold beverage with you to the picnic, and it stays cold!
A couple of cool features that you can see in this shot, the lid is attached to the growler so you won’t lose it. And, it has a lock open position (that it’s in now), so you can easily pour without it snapping shut on you.
It would also make a great gift for the beer lover in your life! Especially if they love craft beer. We will take our 64 ounce growler over to our local craft brewery and have them fill it with some of their beer. What a great way to support local businesses too.
It’s also BPA free. The lid also doubles as a cup, which would be perfect if you took it hiking or camping with you and used it for your morning coffee.
We took it to the beach too. Just kidding, this shot was just taken in front of a beach picture in my house while everyone was over for happy hour! Notice the cool way that Dan is pouring the beer too. He rested the growler on top of his hand while pouring.
