October is a month of good things
You probably already know that October 2016 is the Third Annual October is Tailgating Snacks Month on Life Currents (I can hardly believe that I’ve been doing Tailgating Snacks Month for 3 years now! And I have some awesomely tasty stuff lined up already this year!). There’s the simple goodness of October being fall! And, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This year, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month I’m participating in Cook for the Cure & inviting you to join me in the 10,000 Cupcake Challenge with KitchenAid to Save Lives!
My life has been touched by breast cancer. My maternal Grandma had radical mastectomy to remove breast cancer, and later had radiation therapy for cancer in her lymph nodes. My Grandma’s sister also had breast cancer, having to have first one breast, then the other removed. More recently, my second cousin was diagnosed with breast cancer, which I’m happy to say she is cancer free now.
I’m excited participate in Cook for the Cure, and to help bring some more awareness to breast cancer and to what can be done to help the cause.
Cook for the Cure
This year, to get involved in Cook for the Cure I’m participating in the 10,000 cupcake challenge! I’m also spreading the word by sharing some awesome cupcakes with my friends and neighbors! Pink cupcakes rock! And they make everyone happy. So far, everyone I’ve shared a cupcake with has loved them, and I’ve made their day a little brighter!
To help spread the word about Cook for the Cure yourself, simply bake up some fun cupcakes, snap a photo of them, and share, using the hashtag #10000Cupcakes on Twitter or Instagram to help support this great cause! Every time you do, KitchenAid will donate $1 for each and every cupcake photo or video that is shared up to $10,000. Don’t forget to check out their website for more info.
