It’s the Second Annual “October is Tailgating Snacks Month” on Life Currents!
Be ready to drool and swoon over some yummy tailgating ideas over the next month. Whether you watch football from the comfort of your living room, or if you go to a high school, college, or NFL level game, or if you don’t watch any sports at all, I’m sure you’ll find something yummy to nosh on!
And, just like the NFL promotes Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October with pink towels, gloves, shoes, and other accessories, Life Currents will also be supporting breast cancer awareness. Coming soon, a fun Pink Pop Tart recipe for Cooking for the Cure. And I’m very excited that this year I have an awesome giveaway all set up for you! Well, it’s so cool that I had to split it into two prize packages. One prize package is for Breast Cancer Awareness, and the other is for Tailgating Snacks/Kitchen Goodies. You’ll find the two giveaway widgets below!

Official Football Field Towel Pink Towel with NFL Breast Cancer Awareness Logo valued around $7.00
Tailgating Snacks/Kitchen Goodies Giveaway
Island Trollers Tuna: 6 Cans; 2 x Original, 2 x Jalapeno, and 2 x Smoked. This Gift Box has some of my favorite cans of Island Trollers Sustainably caught Albacore Tuna valued at $44.00.
I absolutely love these Tong tools from Kuhn Rikon. They are three tools in one! Combine them (which is really easy to snap them together!), and you can use them as tongs to serve salad or pasta dishes. Or, you can use them individually as a spatula and a fork. They’re safe for non-stick cookware, so they’re great for any day, not just tailgating! And the bright cheery color just makes me happy to use them. Valued at $14.00.
I adore this cool this Colori® + Paring Knife! This paring knife has a sheath so you can safely take it tailgating, camping, or out to your BBQ without worrying about hurting yourself on it. It has this awesome ultra-sharp Japanese stainless steel blade with a silicone-based nonstick coating that ensures food will release easily from blade. (how awesome is that!). And the knife fits nicely in the hand, and is balanced really well. And, again, the color just makes me smile! Valued at $10.00.
This 34 ounce Thermal Flask from Reduce holds just enough coffee to start the day for me. Just kidding, that might even be too much coffee for me (it’s a pretty big flask!). Well, I guess if you’re going to share your coffee it’s a great size! So, I would totally take this flask full of coffee for morning tailgating. It’s vacuum insulated with a push & pour lid, and doesn’t leak! It’s BPA free (which is so good). And it keeps stuff cold or hot for 12 hours. That’s great for me, because I love my coffee cold! so 12 hours of cold coffee is perfect. Oh, and you can totally use it for anything, not just coffee. Coffee just makes me really happy! Valued at $20.00.
This TempFork takes the guesswork out of cooking. It works really well for thin cuts of meat like carne asada and fish. It has a light included in it, so if it starts to get dark while you’re tailgating you can still see your food. The readout is backlit so it’s easy to see. The tines are stainless steel, and it comes preprogrammed to help you know the right temps for different things. It has lots of cool features that you can read about here. Valued around $20.00.
Last year I created a Pinterest Board dedicated to all the snacks of October. I’ve been adding some great recipes to the board throughout the year, and I’ll be adding all of this year’s Tailgating Snacks to the board! Hop over and take a look!
