Basil Syrup

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves washed


  1. Add all ingredients to a small saucepan, and bring to a boil. Let the sugar dissolve, and boil for one minute. Take off of the heat. Let steep for 10 minutes and strain out the solids.
  2. The syrup will keep in the fridge for a few weeks (if it lasts that long).

Recipe Notes

The number of servings will vary depending on how sweet you like your sodas. Start by adding 1 tablespoon, and increase from there to see what you like.
