Blue Cheese Sauce

  • 4 ounces cream cheese cut into small pieces
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 4 ounces blue cheese cut into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives plus additional for garnishing
  • ΒΌ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil


  1. Place the cream cheese pieces and milk in a small saucepan set over medium-high heat. Stir until cream cheese is almost all melted. Stir in the blue cheese, and continue stirring over medium-high heat until everything is almost melted all the way through. Remove from heat, and continue to stir until the sauce is smooth and lump free. Stir in the chopped chives, garlic powder, and oil.
  2. Pour over veggies, baked potatoes, steak, or whatever makes you happy. Or, pour into a small dish to serve as a dipping sauce. Garnish with additional chopped chives or freshly ground black pepper.
