Celebrate fall with these 4 ingredient Acorn Donut Holes. It’s a creative project that transforms sweet, bite-sized doughnuts into festive acorn-shaped treats. They’re fun to make, delicious to eat, and perfect for parties, Thanksgiving desserts, or kids’ fall crafts.
If the pretzel sticks are longer, begin by snapping them into smaller pieces.
Place the chocolate chips in a small bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes, stopping every 30 seconds to stir. The chocolate is ready when it’s smooth and creamy, without lumps.
Place the chocolate sprinkles in a small bowl.
Dip the end of a donut hole in the melted chocolate and lightly scrape it on the side of the bowl so the excess chocolate gets scraped off. Immediately dip the chocolate end of the donut hole in the chocolate sprinkles.
Place a pretzel stick in the end with the chocolate and the sprinkles, being careful not to scrape any of it off.
Place the decorated donut hole on parchment paper to dry. Repeat with all the donut holes until complete.
Place them in the fridge or freezer for 5 minutes to set the chocolate, if desired, or eat immediately while the chocolate is still gooey.
Notes
These are best eaten the same day they are made. If you do have leftovers, store them in an airtight container on the counter.
