Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Seedlip Grove 42 (or vodka), fresh lemon juice, and lavender simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist or a lavender sprig and serve immediately.
Notes
Seedlip Grove 42 is a sophisticated, non-alcoholic botanical spirit featuring a bright, citrus blend of Mediterranean orange, blood orange, mandarin, lemon peel, ginger, and lemongrass for a dry finish, designed to be mixed into complex mocktails. It offers a refreshing alternative to alcohol. It’s made with distilled botanicals but contains zero alcohol, sugar, or calories, and is perfect for elevating non-alcoholic drinks.I chose not to rim the glass with sugar, as I find the drink to be sweet enough, and so many people are trying to cut back on sugar. But feel free to rim a chilled glass with sugar if desired. To make your own lavender simple syrup:
Place ingredient except food coloring in a medium pot, cover, and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, and simmer with the lid on for about 10 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer. Stir in the food coloring if you like. Store in a jar with a tight-fitting lid in the fridge. It's typically served straight up (with no ice) and is delicious when it's nice and cold after being shaken with ice. But no one says you have to serve it that way, feel free to pour yours over ice and enjoy it that way if you like.
