This is my Favorite Pecan Pie. I love the ground pecans in it. I think the ground pecans give it a better texture than pecan halves; you get more pecans in each bite this way.
You can grind your own pecans using a food processor, just pulse until finely ground, like coarse meal. Doesn’t take long at all.
This recipe was slightly adapted from {affiliate} “Eula Mae’s Cajun Kitchen“.
You can make your own pie crust or use a store-bought option; the choice is yours.
And, pecan pie is really easy to make, just a little mixing, pouring, and baking. And voila! A pretty homemade pecan pie that your guests will love.
I often make this pie twice a year, once for Thanksgiving, and once for Christmas.
Corn Syrup
And, yes, I do use the traditional Southern corn syrup in this Pecan Pie.
Keep in mind that Corn Syrup isn’t the same as High Fructose Corn Syrup. If you’d like to read more on that, here’s a great place to start from the kitchn.
But also, I’ve found this organic corn syrup (it has a great vanilla flavor).
As a once or twice a year treat, I think it’s just fine. Really, everything in moderation, including moderation.
Can’t get enough pecan goodies?
