This Velvet Elvis Smoothie is made with peanut butter and banana (thus, the Elvis part!), and it’s velvety smooth (thus, the Velvet part!). And, oh my gosh, is it good! The other thing I love about the Velvet Elvis Smoothie is that it keeps you full for a long time, so you aren’t hungry 10 minutes after finishing it! That’s a great reason to start your day with this smoothie – you’ll be able to stick to your healthy goals for the new year!

This post is sponsored by The Grocery Outlet, but all opinions and content are my own.

The Velvet Elvis Smoothie

Smoothies for Breakfast

I’ve been making smoothies lately for breakfast. I figure I can add some nice tasty nutrition to our daily routine this way. Fresh fruits and veggies blended into a luscious smoothie. It’s all good!

I first created the Velvet Elvis Smoothie after visiting the Grocery Outlet. I saw so many name brand products there. They even had my favorite peanut butter, which is part of the reason I decided to make the Velvet Elvis Smoothie.

All these goodies came from the Grocery Outlet, especially their NOSH (Natural Organic Specialty Healthy) section

Are you looking for Healthy and Affordable Groceries? The Grocery Outlet has a great selection of organic foods, gluten-free foods, meats and meat-alternatives, cheeses, produce, and so much more all at bargain prices! I checked their store locator, and saw that they are all along the west coast of the US. Take a look to see if you have a store near you!

Use whatever milk you would like for the Velvet Elvis – I found coconut milk at the Grocery Outlet as well!

Their website talks a little about how they can offer such low prices on what they sell. They say, “Producers have excess products like overruns or packaging changes. Grocery Outlet helps out by buying up that excess inventory at big discounts.” Then, they pass the savings along to you. I did some price comparing while I was there too, and they aren’t kidding, the prices are awesome!

I was really happy and surprised to find Meyer Lemons in the produce section at the Grocery Outlet

I wanted you to be able to see the Heart Healthy Smoothie Blend packaging. I found this in with the dried fruits and nuts at Grocery Outlet. Of course, if you can’t find this, it’s easy to make your own with mini chocolate chips, pepitas, dried cranberries, almonds, and flax seed.

NOSH section

I found most of the ingredients for the Velvet Elvis Smoothie in the NOSH section of the Grocery Outlet. NOSH stands for Natural Organic Specialty Healthy. The other thing that really inspired me on the smoothie was the Heart Healthy Smoothie Blend I found at the Grocery Outlet. It has almonds, dried cranberries, pepitas, flax seed, and some chocolate chips. You can mix up your own as well, but since it was a total bargain, I wanted to add it to my smoothies!

There are so many cool things in store for you at the Grocery Outlet; they have fresh produce, a meat section, cheeses, crackers, chips, a whole gluten-free section, beauty products, kitchen supplies, lots of cereals, cool candy, beer, wine, oh just so much fun stuff!

So, my Velvet Elvis Smoothie and the Grocery Outlet will help you kick Off the New Year, where eating healthy meets affordability.

That looks super enticing! I need to take a peek and see if there’s a store in my area. You said west coast, so I’m guessing not. It’s worth a shot though.
