This Velvet Elvis Smoothie is made with peanut butter and banana. That gives us the Elvis part! And it’s velvety smooth. That’s the Velvet part! And, oh my gosh, is it good! The other thing I love about this smoothie, is that it keeps you full for a long time. And that means you aren’t hungry 10 minutes after finishing it!

It’s a great reason to start your day with this smoothie for breakfast. And you’ll be able to stick to your healthy goals for the new year!

Smoothies for Breakfast

Smoothies for breakfast are so good! I figure I can add some nice tasty nutrition to our daily routine this way. Fresh fruits and veggies blended into a luscious smoothie. It’s all good!

notes

I first created the Velvet Elvis Smoothie after visiting the Grocery Outlet. I saw so many name brand products there. I decided to make this smoothie because they even had my favorite peanut butter.

Use whatever milk you would like. I found coconut milk at the Grocery Outlet as well!

I wanted you to be able to see the Heart Healthy Smoothie Blend packaging (picture below) … found in with the dried fruits and nuts at Grocery Outlet. Of course, if you can’t find this, it’s easy to make your own with mini chocolate chips, pepitas, dried cranberries, almonds, and flax seed. Really, just about any granola will work.

I always make smoothie at home. It’s a nice breakfast to go especially if you’re busy and have a long day ahead. There are just so many recipes for it, but the one thing that I value the most is where the ingredients come from. I think this is a nice place to shop! Thanks for the lovely smoothie recipe as well.

My husband would absolutely love this and probably my son too. I never ever make smoothies because if I am honest I really don’t like the texture but I have been thinking lately that I need to start for my sons sake because like you said its a good way of getting goodness into their diet.

Anosa, I’ve been trying to get more healthy stuff into my husband’s diet. He eats pretty well, but I’d like a few more fruits and veggies. We started with the Green Monster Smoothie https://lifecurrentsblog.com/green-monster-smoothie/ which he loved. Then this Velvet Elvis. And now he’s coming up with combinations on his own. He’s loving them! We made one the other day with frozen pineapple, coconut milk, banana, and blueberries. It was like ice cream. So yummy! Keep trying and I bet you can find some you love!
