Easy Crock Pot (Slow Cooker) Meals – dinners that a 3-year-old might eat – This collection of recipes is at the request of my sister-in-law. She has a picky eater in the house and wants some easy crock pot meals. I only included vegetarian and chicken recipes in this collection, and I focused on main dishes, with the inclusion of one side dish (because it looks so yummy!).

Go ahead, try all of these with your family, I bet they will adore each and every crock pot recipe here!

Easy Crock Pot (Slow Cooker) Meals
Everyone’s favorite, Mac & Cheese can be made in the crock pot. This is delicious, creamy, and totally family friendly!
Crock Pot Salsa Chicken is always a hit with young and old. It’s great on its own or in a taco. And it’s so easy to prepare.
A nice hearty bowl of Vegetable Soup will help get the kids to eat their veggies!
Chili is a favorite of kids, and this vegetarian crock pot chili couldn’t be easier to make. Serve it with rice, mashed potatoes, in a baked potato, over French fries, or over nachos.
And speaking of Mac & Cheese, here’s another take on it done in the crock pot from Who Needs a Cape? White Mac & Cheese
Chicken Soup made in the crock pot is sure to please at any time, but it’s especially comforting when it’s cold outside and maybe you’re feeling a little run down. This Chicken Soup recipe from The Typical Mom looks fabulous.
My whole family loves Mexican foods, and I love being able to make my own tacos or Mexican bowl. This Creamy Chicken done in the slow cooker from Hot Eats and Cool Reads looks perfect.
Spaghetti was always my dinner of choice as a kid. And, you can make your own homemade marinara sauce in the crock pot.
My Sister in law loves mushrooms, just like I do! So when I saw this Rosemary chicken, sausage & mushrooms from Culinary Ginger I knew it would be great!
I love this recipe for Easiest Crock Pot Chicken Caesar Pitas from The Love Nerds. It can be made for lunches and sent along with the family. And, if your family prefers another creamy dressing like ranch, that can be easily substituted.
This Slow Cooker Crack Chicken from Aunt Bee’s Recipes looks delicious and sounds so easy. I can imagine my niece totally loving this one.
Crockpot Chicken Cacciatore from Meal Planning Maven will be a family favorite for your family as well. I think this will be a great way to sit down at the end of a long work day and have a nice family meal together.
Besides being a great lunch or dinner, I can’t wait to serve this Slow Cooker Pulled Chicken Parmesan from Who Needs A Cape? at a football party! I think young and old will love this one.
And, like I said, I had one side dish to share with you. Totally kid friendly and yummy Crockpot orange, honey and herb glazed carrots from Culinary Ginger.
Slow Cooker Mexican Bean and Brown Rice Stew Recipe – my niece loves black beans and brown rice, so this should be a hit in their house as well. Note to moms, if you want to swap one kind of bean (in this case, swap out the white beans and replace them with black beans) for another it should work just fine.

I have recently bought a slow cooker so I’m very keen to try some of these. The only thing I’ve used it for so far is to make stock!

We love our slow cooker too. We mostly use it for casseroles and curries (Thai, Indian, Malaysian) but it’s also handy for making chicken stock from the leftover carcass of a roast chicken dinner, and we also do jacket potatoes (what Americans call baked potatoes) in it. Such a fab appliance!
