It’s time to take a look back at your favorites of 2025, the best, the Most Popular Recipes of 2025! Looking back on the year and seeing what was super popular is one of my favorite posts of the year!
Thank you all so much for being here, for being kind, and for helping through the year. I love cooking for you! Also, I want you to know how much your kind comments and thoughts mean to me. It means so much to me when you love a recipe and maybe it even becomes part of your traditions!
When you visit my blog you support a woman-owned small business. And when I say small, I mean it! I don’t have writers or photographers – I do all the recipe development, testing, photographing, and writing by myself. I do all the posting, social media, and troubleshooting all by little me. So, thank you!
I’ll start the review with some observations on the year, reflections of what passed. Then into some of my favorite recipes of the year that didn’t make the top 10. I mean, they’re all like my children and I love them all, but if I have to choose, these are the ones.
Then we’ll dive into the top 9 recipes, as voted for by you, my readers, with your visits to my blog. Did your favorite make the list? What’s YOUR favorite recipe of mine that you make? I’d love to know!

Thank you!
Thanks to everyone for being here with me. I love coming up with new recipes and with reworking and updating old recipes. This year I mostly made new recipes for you. I was on a healthy kick this year, though I still managed to sneak in some desserts and treats.
2025 was the year that AI slop became the hot topic. Facebook and Pinterest are filled with it. It looks so fake, but it’s only going to continue to look more and more realistic. And the recipes are not tested, and they may be simply stolen from real people. I can make this promise to you, I’ll never use AI slop to produce my recipes or pictures. I always use real ingredients and I only post recipes we deem “blog worthy”. Meaning only recipes that we think are five stars. So, it means even more to me that you’re here.

On a personal note:
- This year was a rough one. My mother-in-law passed away. The family is at least on speaking terms after the loss, so something positive came out of the tragedy.
- We almost finalized the home remodel; just one more thing to go, and that’s the backsplash in the kitchen. It’s so nice to have a whole kitchen again.
- I injured my foot at the beginning of the year, and am still working through the pain. I hope that it heals, but there’s some part of me that fears it’s just something I’ll have to live with from now on.

My favorite recipes of the year
Not every recipe can make the top 9 even though I think they all deserve to! So, here are some of my favorite recipes that you may have missed. I’ve broken them down into groups: Indulgent recipes, game day snacks, healthy dishes, and desserts.
Make sure to keep scrolling to see all the top 9 most popular recipes towards the bottom of the post.
Indulgent recipes
I make this Hojicha Latte all the time. Besides being easy to make, it’s super delicious, has less caffeine than coffee, and costs way less to make at home rather than going out for lattes. I paid $15 for a frozen blended latte at Downtown Disney the other day!
French Onion is always a favorite, such rich cozy comfort food. So, I turned it into a great main dish with this French Onion Gnocchi. Turn that into an amazing meal with a side of these amazing Gruyere Herb Buttermilk Biscuits.
Healthy lifestyle
That brings us to the many healthy dishes that were stand outs through the year. I think I focused on healthy foods because maybe I had to offset from all the coffee testing last year. Lol I also read several diet and nutrition books that aided my knowledge and desired to eat better.
Recipes like Air Fryer Ratatouille Gnocchi, Beet Berries Barley Salad, and Teriyaki Salmon Bowls all came from those books.
I was on a huge bowl kick for the year … still am, actually. You can fill bowls with greens, grains, veggies, and a little sauce or dressing for an amazing meal. And, most of the elements of the bowls can be pre-made so meal prep is a cinch. Chimichurri bowls are my go-to meal most days, Chimichurri Shrimp Bowls have a little different spin on them. Orzo with roasted veggies, Grilled shrimp and rice noodles salad, Mushroom orzo, and Garden to table kale salad are all amazing ways to get some tasty healthy food in your days.
I shared some amazing soups like Pumpkin lentil soup and Tahini wild rice soup.
And you can start the day with a bowl of Breakfast barley.
Game day snacks
As always, I brought you tailgating snacks month. Going forward, I’m keeping it in September. There were lots of great recipes, notably Cottage cheese queso, 7 layer dip recipe, and Blue cheese balls.
Desserts
Dessert continues to be one of the most popular categories here! And there were several stand outs that made the top 10. Here are a couple that I just had to share as well. Cakes like my Coconut almond torte and ginger quince cake are welcome additions to any table. And cookies like my Swiss gingerbread and Danish salted butter cookies can be year round treats.

Most Popular Recipes
But, without further ado… The 9 Most Popular Recipes of 2025: the year in review, as determined by your visits to the recipe. Starting with number 9 and working our way to the top!

9. Cottage Cheese Dill Bread This is a fun quick bread recipe that ups the flavor and protein with cottage cheese. It’s great with a smear of butter or jam. And it’s fantastic with some cream cheese and cucumbers, just like those little tea finger sandwiches.

8. Halloween Candy Cigarettes I’m super excited that this Halloween recipe made the top 9. Halloween has been my favorite holiday for as long as I can remember, and this recipe is a fun one. I’m also super happy that I only got one hater comment on Facebook about these; most people took them as the fun they were intended on being. They’re adorable, and actually really tasty!

7. Baklava Thumbprint Cookies All the flavor of baklava but none of the work of layering and buttering all the flaky pastry. These are a great year-round cookie.

6. Brown sugar oatmeal lace cookies As beautiful as they are tasty. And, bonus points for being easy to make.

5. Edible cookie dough There’s no flour in these cookies, so no need to heat treat flour. There’s no egg, so no salmonella worries. Use gluten free oat flour and these are GF. And oh my gosh is this cookie dough amazing!

4. Coconut Guava Cake Thank you thank you thank you! For helping the animals. All proceeds from 2025 from this post will be donated to the Pasadena Humane Society. This was my small way to help after the LA wildfires. There were so many people, families, and animals (both wild and domestic), that were displaced and hurt after these fires. I know my friends are still trying to get their lives back. It still makes me tear up. Anyway, this cake is also amazing. Moist fluffy coconut cake topped with a fruity cheesecake like topping. It’s just amazing!

3. Cottage cheese oatmeal cookies are a fun way to up the protein in your treats. These are soft, almost like muffin tops. And so delicious! And this shows me that cottage cheese has still got it!

2. Cottage cheese sweet potato bowls Here’s another of those healthy bowls that I was talking about. This was a viral recipe that I made vegetarian, which I think makes it even healthier than the original. These are so good and I found myself making them all year long.

1. And the number 1 most popular recipe on the blog this year, 3 ingredient bagels. Made with Greek yogurt so they’re filled with protein. I make these fairly often. I actually like them better than most store-bought bagels. And, I made them into a fun loaded stuffed bagel as well.
Again, thanks for being here. Thanks for coming back, and trying new things with me. I look forward to seeing what 2026 has in store for all of us. Wishing you good food and a healthy long life!
