Smooth and creamy, with a little zesty kick, this Nacho Cheese is the bomb!
Ok, no, it isn’t the healthiest recipe in the world. Don’t jump all over me for that. But, sometimes, you just want a super tasty and easy to make appetizer. This is it!
I make this about once a year, when we have a Super Bowl party. It’s easy to make and it never fails.
For this year’s party I went to grab my recipe and I couldn’t find it. So, I decided I needed to get it up on the blog, despite the fact that it may not be my normal ingredients or healthy-ness. It’s just that good. And, it is a sometimes treat.
So, maybe this post is more for me; so I can find this easy recipe. And, I may have it memorized already, but since I only make it once a year I like to make sure I remember it correctly.
Oh, and speaking of Super Bowl parties, here’s what I served.
The full Super Bowl menu:
This Nacho Cheese Dip
Copycat Chuy’s Jalepeno Dip from Who Needs a Cape? – this was delicious and easy to make! I highly recommend it!
Onion Dip (I’ll post this recipe soon) made with homemade onion soup mix
Ruffles classic potato chips and tortilla strips. That’s the whole menu. It was easy and simple! I loved it and we were so full from snacking all day!
Nacho Cheese with Velveeta, my version:
Nacho Cheese with Velveeta
- 16 ounces Velveeta cut into cubes
- 4 ounces cream cheese cut into cubes
- 1 ½ cups your favorite salsa or 1 can Ro-tel tomatoes
- Place all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl, and heat in 1 minute increments (microwave times will vary) until melted, stirring after each time. Serve with tortilla chips to make nachos.
The servings can vary widely on this one. Depends on how much you nosh!
