Party on Crock Pot
I love the crock pot for parties. You can throw all the goodies into the crock pot before your guests get there. And, the slow cooker does all the work for you. Maybe just a stir or two, and you’re all set.
Perfect for tailgating
You may remember last year for Tailgating Snacks Month I shared my recipe for Slow Cooker Chipotle Bean Dip, a smoky spicy bean dip that’s got all the football moves!
Recipe creation
My Crock Pot Corn Dip was inspired by two recipes. Chrisy at Homemade Hooplah posted a Creamed Corn recipe back in 2014, and I can say that I’ve made this recipe many times now, but I made it not as a dip, instead it’s always been served as a side dish in my house.
I’ve made it for Thanksgiving dinner, for special dinners, and for just weeknight stuff.
So when I decided I wanted to make a Crock Pot Corn Dip I knew I wanted to start here. Then, I used An Affair from the Heart’s {Award Winning} “Crack Dip” as my second source of inspiration.
Recipe Notes
And what I got was a creamy delicious dip with sweet corn and just the right kick of spices that I couldn’t stop eating. And, it’s super easy to make.
I used some frozen white corn and frozen yellow corn in the one you see in the pictures.
Don’t feel like you need to use both. I usually buy only the frozen white corn, but my store has been hit and miss lately, so I have both in my freezer and thought it would look pretty with both white and yellow.
And, you don’t even have to worry about defrosting the frozen corn before adding it to the crock pot; just toss it in and let the slow cooker do the work for you.

Debi, I love corn and this looks to be the perfect fall party snack, game-day treat. Thanks for sharing this one with all of us!
This looks fantastic! Thanks for the shout out — glad the crack dip was a source of inspiration for you!
I agree with you on the serving because I could eat more than my body weight of this. Great recipe.
I think i actually might eat the whole thing as one serving! I am kind of a fiend for corn with scallions. This looks phenomenal.
Looks amazing! Perfect for parties!
Looks amazing Debi, nicley done!!
I could eat the whole bowl. Would it be rude of me not to share?
This looks amazing, Debi! Love that it’s made in the crock pot – and how fresh and tasty it looks!
This is MY kind of dip – yum. I’d eat it by the ladle full!
Just loving this chunky dip, not had one like this before so must give it a go:-)
How about on low?
Michelle, I’ve never cooked it on low. But, most recipes are about 1 1/2 to 2 times longer on low. I might try 1 hr 30 minutes for each round of cooking on low. You’re basically just melting everything together, not much cooking of ingredients going on. So, as long as everything is melty, I bet it’ll be great! Let me know how it goes.
