Please let me know if you have any questions about this recipe. I read all the comments myself and I try to help as soon as I can. I have readers from all levels of comfort and experience in the kitchen on my site, and I’ve tried to answer some of your questions already in the post. But if I’ve missed anything, please feel free to leave a comment and ask.

Is ranch with carrots good?

Um, the answer to this is an overwhelming yes!!

Carrots and ranch are delicious together!

And, with this Glazed Ranch Carrots side dish recipe, they are cooked together so you get the ranch yumminess in every bite. No double dipping required!

Are carrots and ranch healthy?

Well, I certainly would say that a bowl of raw kale would have fewer calories and sodium, but all in all, yes, this is a nutritious way to get some delicious veggies on the table in a way that your family will absolutely love.

What can you dip carrots in other than ranch?

This recipe is great because it allows you to explore other dipping sauces for your carrots and ranch.

I do like to serve these with a side of ranch for a double ranch delight. You can even make a homemade Buttermilk Ranch  to serve with.

But they also go great with Red Pepper Garlic Dip, Tamarind Cashew Dipping Sauce, and Avocado Feta Dip.

Can I make these in the oven?

Yes, these Ranch Baby Carrots can also be roasted right in the oven.

Oven directions:

Preheat oven to 400° F. Toss carrots, oil, and ranch mix in a bowl until combined.

Lay the prepared carrots in a single layer on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until tender and starting to brown.

Pro tips for great carrots

There isn’t really anything complicated about this recipe, so be sure to scroll down to the printable recipe card for full ingredient amounts. But I wanted to give you some tips.

Bags of baby carrots usually contain some water. Drain off that water, and give them a good rinse. Sometimes I find the water gets a little slimy, and the rinse will help freshen them. Then, blot the carrots dry with a paper towel.

Also, be sure that the carrots that are firm rather than limp, soft, or rubbery. If you find a bag of carrots that are soft, they are probably old and possibly bitter so you won’t get the best side dish you can.

You could use the carrot chips in bags that I see at the grocery store for a fun kid-friendly snack!

Preheat the air fryer.

how to make air fryer ranch carrots, toss the carrots with seasonings on left, place in air fryer basket on right.

Toss your cleaned carrots with a little oil and the ranch seasoning mix. Feel free to use your favorite oil here, olive oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, etc…

If you want to make your own ranch seasoning mix, just use the dry herbs and spices from this recipe.

If you aren’t going to go with a homemade ranch seasoning mix, please grab the Hidden Valley Ranch brand. They are just better in my opinion. And, lately I prefer the “Dips Mix” packet. They also have a “Fiesta” flavor that’s great here.

Toss the seasoned carrots in the preheated air fryer for about 10 minutes until starting to brown, and nicely cooked through. Enjoy hot or at room temperature.

If you have any leftovers, just pop them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Reheat them in the microwave or in the air fryer at 350° F for 4-5 minutes.
